Hi, I’m Amanda—and my healing journey started in a really uncomfortable place.
In my mid-twenties, I began experiencing spontaneous, explosive diarrhea. It was embarrassing, unpredictable, and completely disruptive—to my work, my social life, even time with my family. I went to my doctor, who couldn’t give me any clear answers but suggested I start tracking my food.
So I did. For 18 months.
Eventually, I discovered the culprit: fried foods—specifically, foods cooked in soy oil, which was just starting to be used more widely in restaurants. That discovery changed everything.
I had essentially created my own elimination diet—long before Whole30 or gut protocols were mainstream. And while my digestion improved, something else started to shift. I noticed my anxiety lessening, my sleep improving, and for the first time in years, I had real, clean energy.
That’s when I got curious. I began confronting my sugar addiction, stabilizing my moods, and healing my body in a way that rippled into every area of my life.
It was the first time I truly understood: food is not just fuel—it’s information. It can hurt us, or it can heal us. And that’s the belief at the core of everything I now teach.

For the last few years I have been dealing with perimenopause symptoms, shifting hormones, blood sugar imbalances, extreme anxiety, constant low energy and just plain not feeling like myself anymore. My initial sessions with Amanda focused on my current physical health while navigating perimenopause. Throughout my experience, she's taught me how many other areas influence my health.
